FTI, in partnership with Creative Partnerships Australia and with the support of ScreenWest and Media Super, are excited to reveal the eight exciting projects that will be pitched by some of WA’s most talented emerging filmmaker teams to a live audience at a special event on Wednesday, June 3.
FTI is proud to announce that nominations are now open for the “ScreenWest Outstanding Contribution to the Industry” Award to be presented at the 27th WA Screen Awards (WASA) on June 29 at the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia.
The recipient of this award will be a West Australian who has enhanced the vibrancy of the screen sector through bringing acclaim and/or profile to the sector via their own remarkable career and achievements, or by working behind the scenes to the benefit of other screen practitioners.
Join ‘The Australian Screen Sound Guild’ (ASSG) and Ros Walker, the new Director, Screen Production, at FTI for a session on screen sound operatives. Ros is keen to meet with operators to discuss the state of the industry, training needs and pathways for advancement.
This meeting is for all sound operatives, experienced and emerging.
The Indigenous Community Stories program provides a unique opportunity for Indigenous Storytellers and communities to record their lives and histories on film. ICS films and archives the stories, accomplishments and reflections of Indigenous people and communities across Western Australia.
FTI is very pleased to announce the appointment of Roslyn Walker to the position of Director, Screen Production. Ros is responsible for overseeing the consolidation and growth of FTI’s Screen Production Support Program which sits within our Sector Career Development strategy.
