The West Australian Screen Awards (WASAs) is the premier celebration of West Australian screen culture, celebrating excellence and achievements in feature film, short film, web series, music videos, television production, documentary, games and interactive productions.
FTI Director of Skills & Engagement, Annie Murtagh-Monks, represented FTI in Sydney this week at a meeting of the Casting Guild of Australia then at the 'Culture Business - The Art of Fundraising' Conference.
Oompf! is an FTI scheme to fund two films made by FTI members. For this round 34 applications were received, with the panel being impressed by the quality scripts and solid teams in the running. The winners of the 2016 round are:

FTI (The Film & Television Institute) is proud to announce all applications submitted to round twelve of the Indigenous Community Stories (ICS) program, were approved by the ICS Panel at its December meeting. ICS is funded to produce four of these projects in 2016. The other projects are approved pending further funding being confirmed to support the ICS program.
