About FTI

FTI enhances the vibrancy of the WA Screen Sector.

FTI is a not-for-profit, membership based organisation, which aims to facilitate the development of local West Australian, emerging and mid-level filmmakers, interactive developers and screen artists. 

FTI achieves its mission of developing an innovative and diverse screen culture in Western Australia through the following range of activities, services and events. 

FTI offers production support and advice to independent screen industry practitioners.
FTI annually funds and coordinates a number of production grants ranging from $2,000 to $70,000.
 FTI offers short courses, industry seminars, professional development and customized training programs across disciplines including: Screen Production, Screenwriting, Games Production, Animation, Digital Editing, Cinematography and Screen Acting. We also offer customized training events for schools and businesses. 
Regional and Indigenous Engagement
FTI’s Indigenous Communiy Stories program travels to regional and remote
Indigenous communities to record and preserve their culturally significant stories and experiences.
Screenings & Special Events
FTI screens a regular program of local and independent screen culture, plus annual events including the WA Screen Awards. 
FTI supports & sponsors numerous independent screen events & film festivals in WA.
