WA Screen Awards
The Film & Television Institute (WA) is proud to annually present the WA Screen Awards (WASA). The WA Screen Awards recognise and encourage excellence and achievement in film and television production in WA and help generate publicity and promotion for WA filmmakers and their productions to encourage and develop the local industry. The Awards bring early career filmmakers into contact with industry representatives.
The WA Screen Awards have been running since 1996 when they were known as the WA Film and Video Festival Awards although the Young Filmmaker of the Year award has been running since 1981.

24th WA Screen Awards
The 24th WA Screen Awards celebrates the achievements of Western Australian filmmakers over the 2010 calendar year. The Awards Ceremony will be held at Octagon Theatre on Saturday 19th March.
Tickets go on sale through Bocs Ticketing on February 7.
