Will Stoker & the Embers’ new video The King by local filmmaker Mat de Koning will premiere at the Will Stoker & The Embers Album Launch at the Rosemount Hotel this Friday.
Mat has been shooting a rock doc titled Meal Tickets for the past five years begining in 2005 when the Screwtop Detonators Manager fired Will in New Jersey for being a incompetent rodie and Will vowed to start his own band. Now witness the release of Will Stokers already critically acclaimed album and highly entertaining live show. De Koning and crew will be there shooting the gig so get down there and be a part of an event that will be going down in history!
Mat de Koning picked up his sixth Best Music Video nomination at this year’s WASA awards for his last Will Stoker & The Embers video Five Beds For Bitsy
Their new video shot entirely with the Lens baby promises to be a continuation of de Koning’s experimental approach and Will Stoker’s erratic and entertaining performance style.
The Lens baby is a cheap, bendable, twistable lens that has a very narrow focus point and gives the viewer a warped sense of whatever they are seeing.
