Best Screenplay Award for Burleigh Smith

15 April 2010

Organisation

Local short Then She Was Gone has won the Best Screenplay award at the 8th Angry Film Festival on Wednesday 7 April in Melbourne.

Smith wrote, directed, acted in and produced the film with Mat de Koning, who was cinematographer and co-producer for the project.

Katherine Rogers described Then She Was Gone in the Caught Short programme as “Smith’s playful observation of unrequited love and the gross transformations people undertake in order to win affection. Confidently written and uniquely styled, Smith’s film is an original take on a common theme.”
