Annual General Meeting Wrap-up

Nearly forty FTI members gathered in the State Library Theatre on April 8 for our AGM.

Congratulations to Lauren Brunswick, who was elected to join the Board and Michael McCall who was re-elected to continue in his position. 

It was the most competitive election for board positions for many years which demonstrates the interest and enthusiasm that we are building around FTI and the work that we are doing to enhance the vibrancy of the WA screen sector.

Short term position available at FTI

With a number of key events coming up FTI are looking for someone to supplement our team on a short-term, causal basis for the next four weeks.
 
The role will suit someone with good administrative skills, and will involve supporting our Executive Team in the delivery of a range of events and other activities.
 
You will need to be available to work full-time, or close to full time, start immediately and be available through the first week of June.

FTI is now accepting entries for the Young Filmmaker of the Year Award, to be presented at the 27th WA Screen Awards (WASA) at the State Theatre Centre of WA on June 29. 
 
This prestigious award, which carries prize money of $5000, is presented to a young filmmaker who is committed to developing their career in the screen industry.

Entries Open for 27th WA Screen Awards

FTI are pleased to announce that entries for the 27th WA Screen Awards are now open.

Entries are invited from Western Australian filmmakers and games developers across 33 categories, with many categories offering a choice between long form and short form production.

FTI members receive a 50% discount on entry fees.  If you’re not a member already, then you can sign up as part of the entry process.

Entries will close at 5pm on Monday, April 20.
