Catch Flickerfest on EXTRA Episode 5 this Friday night – Kerry Armstrong stars in the laugh out loud Carpool, whilst Crossroad takes us on a darkly thrilling ride!
This week Kerry Armstrong stars in the hilarious QLD film Carpool directed by Martha Goddard. Playing every kids worse nightmare. ‘Elliot is nearly shamed to death when his mother reveals home truths in front of Elliot’s pretty classmate, Chrissy but the truth can work miracles’.
After introducing the film Kerry Armstrong talks candidly about her own role as a parent and her colourful career so far including her gigs on America’s Saturday Night live and Dallas, her love of comedy and awards for more serious roles including Lantana.
Crossroad from WA filmmakers Maziar Lahooti and Michael Hoath, both recipients of the Young Filmmaker of the Year award in 2008 and 2010 respectively, takes us on a very different car journey where ‘a nobody in rural WA becomes a local hero when he rescues two kids from a car wreck’.
Flickerfest on EXTRA is Australia’s only short film show dedicated to showcasing our very own talented short film makers who candidly introduce their films each week and the passionate journeys that they have been on to make them.
