This free three day workshop presented by ScreenWest and the Australian Writers’ Guild (AWG) will be run by internationally recognised consultants Simon van der Borg and Jonathan Rawlinson. The workshop is designed to equip writers, producers, directors and script editors with practical tools to help them solve problems in stories and scripts, and identify why a screenplay may not be working. Whether you are an up and coming writer or filmmaker or someone with years of experience, don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to learn from leading international script developers. Applications are due by COB Monday 8 February 2010

Workshop participants will be eligible for funding of up to $3,500 to develop their screenplay in conjunction with a script editor in preparation for the Pre-Vis* program. Up to three participants will be selected for this funding. Further details of this funding opportunity will be announced at the workshop.

Simon van der Borgh and Jonathan Rawlinson have previously designed and delivered film training programs for screen agencies in Australia, the UK, USA and Europe including the UK Film Council, the EU’s MEDIA Programme, The British Council and The Fulbright Commission.

*Pre-Vis is a feature film development and marketing program for filmmaking teams offered later in the year.
