WA Finalists at Bondi Short Film Festival

‘The Bucks Party’ written and directed by Mike Hoath, produced by Freya Brueschke and ‘The Bubbleologist’ written and produced by Kazimir Sas, directed by Oyvind Opshaug are representing Western Australia in the 9th Annual Bondi Short Film Festival Both films were produced by the WA Screen Academy.
The films are in the running for Film Commendation across 7 award categories and went up against a record number of entrants – more than 250 films submitted from across Australia.
‘The Bucks Party’ is the second film by Mike Hoath to screen at Bondi Short Film Festival in as many years. Last year, OOMPF funded Dogs Run Loose Around Here was a finalist film for the director.
‘JerryCan’ directed by previous FTI member, Julius Avery, is also one of this year’s fourteen finalists.
The festival screens Saturday 28 November at Bondi Pavilion, Bondi Beach.
