As the winter winds dissipate and spring rears its sunny head, the forces behind Australia’s premier new media, Cut & Paste have been building momentum. In between issues the Pasters have been busy working on their ever increasing brand, from the move into iTunes through to covering the recent Perth Fashion Festival as the official video bloggers, all with a distinctly Cut & Paste feel.

Cut & Paste 8 features interviews with Karnivool, Apricot Rail, Ratatat, DJ Revolution, Polo Club and Tomas Ford. Local cult short film Vulture Culture and Buenos Aires stop motion Muto. Shock One takes on the Mixtape duties, along with new clips from Sugar Army, The Typhoons and Eleventh He Reaches London. Cut & Paste 8 also features a ‘bonus’ film addition with interviews from the Revelation Film Festival and other shorts & trailers.

October will see Cut & Paste 8 launched on the eager streets of Perth, Sydney & Melbourne. Cut & Paste ventures out of Perth City for the first time, launching at Mojos, Fremantle. Friday October 23 will see host with the most Diggy Bones muster the talents of Mile End, Brash & Sassy (Featuring the original Brash & Sassy line-up, with Erynn “the hot lawyer” returning for a very special guest appearance on keys), Tomas Ford, Tangled Thoughts of Leaving (playing tracks from their forthcoming release), Shock One, and Cut & Paste’s adopted son Massiv Trav spinning in the betweens.

Cut & Paste 8 feature artist Twenty Eleven will be displaying new works in the courtyard gallery, and some special park projections are in development from members of the ololo collective.

Cut & Paste 8 will be available on the streets of Perth, Sydney and Melbourne, and online via. iTunes from Friday 23 October.
