Gary Sewell wins SDA National Pitch WA Heat

Gary Sewell has won the WA heat of the SDA National Pitch. Facing off tough competition from 13 other entrants Gary’s pitch for a dark adult comedy television series titled ‘Broken People’ was declared the winner.
FTI held our heat of the SDA Pitch on Wednesday August 20, at the Velvet Lounge in Mount Lawley. Fourteen people participated, each delivering a three minute pitches.
The judges – Francesca Hope from Siamese, Ryan Hodgson from Factor 30 Films and FTI’s own Yvette Coyne had a very hard time coming up with a winner as the quality of all the presentations and ideas was so good.
Gary will now travel to the SPAAfringe conference in Sydney to represent Western Australia. Here he will pitch against representatives from Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria.
