Join top Aussie Celebrities in the FTI Cinema

20 September 2011

Cinema

Greta Scacchi, Bill Kerr, Melissa George, Isla Fisher and Hugh Jackman all have an FTI Cinema Seat dedicated in their name and you could too.

Since November 1971 the Film & Television Institute WA has existed for one reason, to give independent WA Screen Artists whatever assistance we can, to make their films a reality. There are few members of the WA Film Industry today who have not been involved with FTI in some capacity or used one of our many services, which include production support schemes, funding initiatives, access to equipment and facilities, a full range of industry based professional development and training options, as well as numerous screen events.

To be able to continue to provide these and new services to future generations, FTI is seeking to raise $50,000 by the date of our 40th Anniversary this December. One way in which we are hoping to achieve this goal is through a “Sponsor a FTI Cinema Seat” campaign. This campaign will acknowledge donations in the specific amounts of $550 per seat and $3000 per row (six seats) with a plaque bearing the donors name being placed on each seat.

In addition to the plaques, FTI will provide a free pass to any FTI screening in 2012 so you can “Test Drive” the comfort of your sponsored seat. Any company or individual that donates $3,000 (GST inc) for a six-seat row, may also choose the option to inspect the FTI Cinema by hosting your own event there at no charge, (excluding film hire and projection fees).

FTI is registered with the ATO as a tax deductible gift recipient. All donations to the “Sponsor a Seat” campaign, on behalf of individuals or organisations are 100% tax deductible.

FTI would like to offer our most sincere thanks to the following individuals and organisations who have already taken up the opportunity to sponsor a seat in the FTI Cinema: Angel Barrio, Electric Pictures, CM Films, Jeremy Nottle, Keiko Nottle, Geoffrey.com, Castle Security, Ian Booth, John Rapsey, Alan Hynd, Media World Pictures, Iktus Services, Animazing Productions, Murdoch University, Animation Works, Centro Insurance & Risk Management, Peter Fry, Mrs. Campbell, Marjolein Towler, Rhonda & Murray Reynish, Liz & Graeme Sward, Tania Chambers, Lisa Braddock, Bill Warnock and ScreenWest (in honour of Greta Scacchi, Bill Kerr, Melissa George, Isla Fisher and Hugh Jackman)

We have 67 seats still to go, so as one of FTI’s valued Suppliers / Members / Friends, I urge you to support this rare appeal from FTI.

You can DONATE ONLINE HERE

In advance I thank you for your assistance and your commitment to helping FTI a bright and secure future for the WA Screen industry.

Yours sincerely

Graeme Sward
