FTI Members Springboard to Feature Films

WA filmmakers Liz Kearney (Producer) and Zak Hilditch (Writer/Director) will receive $150,000 from Screen Australia’s Springboard short film initiative for their sci-fi drama Transmission.
The funding will go towards the production of a short film that can then be used to help secure funding for their feature film These Final Hours.
They also received $20,000 development funding for the feature film.
Springboard targets outstanding teams one step away from making their first professional feature film, and assists them with defining, writing and producing a short film that is a creatively and professionally relevant calling card to their feature project.
Liz and Zak participated in two development workshops in Melbourne as part of the Springboard process with four other teams from around Australia in order to develop both the short film idea and feature film script.
