WA Film in Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival

17 November 2009

Film Festivals

‘Project Petey DNA’, a short film produced by the Screen Academy and written and directed by emerging indigenous screen director David Milroy, has been chosen to screen at the renowned Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival.

The festival (WAFF) showcases the best in indigenous film and video from across Canada, the U.S. and the world and, both on-and off-screen, its mandate is to celebrate and cultivate indigenous storytelling from across the globe.

This exciting news marks yet another success for the film which, earlier this year, had its premier screening Dungog Film Festival.

‘Project Petey DNA’ features the talents of the 2008 Aboriginal theatre class and will be represented at the Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival by Rick Brayford.
