Sixteen-year-old Anna’s mother and father are psychologically controlling and have their daughter, Anna, well under their thumb. When Anna meets Zoe she is attracted to a girl who isn’t easy to intimidate. Anna struggles to have a relationship with Zoe while obeying the strict code of her parents. They take a dislike to Zoe and manipulate Anna to force the girls apart. Anna has to decide whether to accept the suffocating rule of her parents or do something even scarier and escape their control.
