The year is 2079, Dolls are memories from the past given form. They are identified by the star on their faces but also by their curiosity.
LB Jefferies has become tired. He is quite skilled with machines but he has never really found his purpose. The emptiness builds inside him sucking away his life.
By the simplest of tasks performed he is awarded a Doll by the companies Japanese partners.
So LB is gifted with a memory, a girl from 2004.
