SDA Pitch

Overview

This competition provides an avenue for filmmakers to learn and practice the art of pitching, receive feedback and some great prizes!

The ability to deliver a strong project pitch is a vital skill for filmmakers who are required to garner support for their projects.

If you have an idea that has great market potential, read on.

A pitch competition will be held at FTI on June 24. One person/team will win the SDA Pitch competition and receive $1,250 towards their flights and accommodation. This person/team will then go on to compete against other states in The SDA Pitching Competition for $1800 and other prizes – including Final Draft 8 Scriptwriting software valued at $329 – in Sydney at SPAA Fringe, October 22 and 23.

WA Finals will be held Thursday 24 June 2010

THE SDA PITCH COMPETITION JUST GOT BIGGER

At the SPAA Fringe competition in Sydney, there will now be TWO WINNERS! At the SPAA Fringe competition in Sydney, there will now be TWO WINNERS!

Two finalists will be selected and will win $1,500 each. An exciting new element to the competition will see these two finalists flown back to Sydney in November. They will go head to head in The Holding Redlich Pitching Competition at the SPAA Conference where they will be judged by a panel of international and local industry figures.

The winner of the Holding Redlich Pitching Competition will receive an airfare for one to the Cannes Film Festival or a TV market in 2010/11 and a $1,500 cash prize plus free registration to SPAA 2011 Conference!!!
