Overview
ANIMATED BEHAVIOUR, was a one-hour program of animation projects coordinated by FTI that was broadcast on ABC TV on Friday 7th November 2003.
Originally commissioned for the ABC’s Fly TV digital channel, the animation projects were the result of a major FTI/ScreenWest/ABC Animation Initiative to provide national recognition for WA based animators.
When the program went to air FTI CEO Graeme Sward noted,
“This is a fantastic outcome for the continued development of the animation industry in WA,” said Graeme Sward, “The diversity and standard of the animations is extremely high and we’re very proud of all the participants in the program.
“It’s a wonderful result of FTI’s commitment to developing animators in WA through our Animation Centre established in 2001.”
During the production process participants attended a series of skills workshops and experienced the realities of creating content for a national broadcaster, meeting deadlines and essential professional skills.
Many of the participants of this inititative have gone on to work in a wide vartiety of roles in the local, national and international aniamtion industry.
