Future Shorts wants your new short film, less than 20mins, made after June 2009.

Future Shorts will screen local shorts at monthly screenings across WA and then send the selected films on to London HQ where they will be considered for international distribution. DIGISPAA

The DigiSPAA digital feature film competition supports filmmaking that is affordable, creative and appealing to audiences. The competition is recognised as the leading showcase for low-budget digital filmmaking in Australia and New Zealand and boasts a prize pool of $15,000 cash and $20,000 worth of post-production, a guaranteed screening on the Movie Extra channel, plus a return airfare and free registration to the prestigious CineMart International Film Festival Rotterdam.

Eligible films are feature length, with a running time of at least 70mins, digitally produced and completed to advanced post-production stage no earlier than 30 August 2009, and independently funded. More

BONDI SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

The 10th Annual Bondi Short Film Festival is officially calling out for entries.

Are you an up-and-coming short film maker, or do you know one? If you answered yes and you think you have what it takes, then why not send in your entries. All styles of films are accepted including – but not limited to – Documentaries, Animation, Dramas, Comedy, Horror and anything in between.

Entries must be less than 15 minutes in length and have been made within the last 18 months. More

FIFO 2011

FIFO is the Pacific International Documentary Film Festival, and is now calling for entries into the 2nd International Pitch Event for oceanian films. More

All project-proposers (authors, directors, producers) will be granted three to five minutes to present their film idea in front of an audience of international film professionals. Every contestant should present their project in person, and will be given access to audiovisual means to support the presentation. Email pitching@fifotahiti.org for details.

SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL

Entries are now open to the next Shorts Film Festival, which will be held in Adelaide in April 2011. Australian filmmakers from around the globe will compete for one of the best prize pools for short films in Australia, including the Gold Shorts first prize of a trip to Cannes Film Festival.

Other awards include post production assistance for your next film, merit prizes for screenwriters; which include cash and prizes from film industry bodies plus an award for young filmmakers. As well as all that, your film might be selected as part of a showcase to be screened at the prestigious Rushes Soho Film Festival in the UK. More
