Biography

Gillian Arnold is a television creator/producer/director with a comprehensive range of international and local experience. As the TV medium has grown and developed, so has Gillian’s range of expertise. Directing prime time drama at 23, she has gone on to develop and produce cutting edge interactive daily drama, direct Reality TV, adapt multi platform formats cross culturally and set up fledgling drama divisions in places such as Singapore and Indonesia.

More recently she was given the unique opportunity to produce and direct an Australian episode of a Singaporean docudrama series.

Gillian remains alert to new ideas, is known for her pro-activity and works with a large network of talented writers, directors, and creatives in all facets of Television throughout Oceania.

1993 – 96 Gillian worked as director alongside Joanne Brough (EP – Dallas, Falcon Crest, Waltons) to set up an English Drama Unit with the Television Corporation of Singapore. They developed drama from the ground up, training scriptwriters, directors, cast and crew and achieved the recognition of creating the first English Speaking Drama in Asia.
