2004

The Making Movies Roadshow 2004 tour visited 9 locations throughout regional WA, through the valued financial support of ScreenWest and Lotterywest.

The 2004 tour was highly successful, working with a mix of youth and adults who have created a collection of new films including stop-motion animation, drama and documentary.

Featured on the ABC TV’s George Negus Tonight program in September, the Making Movies Roadshow has taken on a life of it’s own, and is becoming well known throughout regional WA for its fun interactive training and screenings.

The films created this year included animated dreamtime stories, mockumentary sport shows, a reality style documentary following the journey of a job hunter, stories from the Roebourne Regional Prison and many more. The popular drama featuring Geralton’s anti-hero ‘Batmon’ was nominated for Best Secondary Production at the WA Screen Awards.
