Hi there!
was wondering if anyone can help with a question?
I'm a musician who makes his own video clips for sending of to Rage. I have 7 videos dubbed to their library and had 2 played last year ( if you think I'm bragging , the answer is “yes”)
Anyway, I have decided to enter into next years Tropfest short film competition and are in the final stages of editing my movie ( which has turned out awesome ),
My question: How loud should I have the talking voices in my movie? Being a muso I'm used to working just near the digital zero, leaving enough headroom for mastering. At the moment the voices are sitting around the -10.0 mark. Keep in mind I have a touch of compression on these voices to smooth them out and bring them forward a little. I don't want my movie sounding like a “Toyota” ad, but I don't want the voices to low either.
Pleas help?
Cheers, Alan
