Is there still demand for films shot in 4:3 mode?

Industry in general is moving away from 4:3 but it's a TV aspect ratio rather than a film aspect ratio.

I guess as time goes on being in 4:3 will continue to grow and be a detriment to older films as the audience comes to expect 16:9 as the norm.
It'll be like how we treat black and white television but without the nostalgia.
With anything technological I guess you always have to try and be as focussed o nthe future as possible to give your project it's longest possible life.
