Cinema In A Cave is a new monthly microcinema in Perth, screening the most profound, bizarre, important, unimportant, obscene, heart-warming, gut-wrenching, controversial, not-so-controversial, plain kick-arse films from around the world.

The next screening is on Friday July 18. The theme is 'Cinema Patriot' and two Australian films will be shown: Kriv Stenders’ brilliant Boxing Day – which had a brief spell at Revelation here last year; and the premiere of the locally-produced Hole in the Ground, directed by Kenta McGrath.

The venue is the gorgeous North Perth Lesser Hall (24 View Street, North Perth). Entry is $12; there is a cheap candy bar; and patrons can BYO alcohol as well as their own seating – bean bags, fold out chairs, mattresses, and so on (basic seating is provided). Doors open at 6pm and the first film begins at 7.30pm sharp.

Due to limited seating, RSVP is essential: info@cineminacave.com
