    The Indian Film Festival - Bollywood & Beyond and Western Union have once again joined forces to discover the best emerging filmmakers in Australia, New Zealand and India.

    Film and TV industry figures view and judge the films and the overall winners from Australia and New Zealand both win a trip to India as well as an invitation to the festival's gala night in Melbourne to be presented with their award. Western Union also awards $1000 to the filmmaker they believe uses their branding in the cleverest way.

    But wait, it gets better!

    The top ten films from each country are also screened in cinemas during the festival (Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Auckland) and broadcast on SBS in Australia, Triangle TV in New Zealand and UTV Stars and UTV Bindass in India.

    This year's theme for short films is "Connections" and the deadline is January 30th, 2012. Entry is free.

    So put your work on the map and make some important connections along the way!
