"I" is about a young boy's realisation that fun is more important than competition.

Jonas a young boy finds a basketball with "Henry" written on it, in an empty basketball court. Eventually a bunch of younger boys all of different nationalities come to play basketball with him.

Jonas becomes very competitive and possessive of the ball and is eventually kicked out of the game, on the sidelines Henry, one of the boys playing basketball comes to have a chat with him. Jonas has a realisation and goes off to play a new game of 'shoot-em-up' with Henry.

Eventually sick of the bigger and domineering boy Adam, the other boys go and play with Jonas and Henry. Adam, realising that he cant play by himself and that he may have become a bit competitive drops the basketball and runs off to play with the other boys.

I encourage actors to apply for any role they feel as they could portray, however priority will be given to those of a racial background as this is the ethos of the film.

Auditions will be held in the week from 26th of November to the 3rd of October.

The projected film dates are from the 10th of December to the 16th of December. Catering will be provided on set.

Jonas - White skin, brown hair, brown eyes. He is between 10-12 years old. Skinny built. He is the main character in this film. He struggles to learn the role of leadership. He is a feisty character with a bit of a rebellion streak. I want also want him to give a great expressions of sadness on cue.

Adam - is the antagonist in this film. He is taller than the rest of the characters. He has a mean looking face when he wants to be. Adam later in the film realizes his mistakes in controlling the teams and also falls victim to his own greed just like Jonas. He has Latin/Mexican features with a little dark complexion. He is 10-12 years old with black hair and bright eyes.

Ben - Black skin African boy between 10-12 years old. He is treated as an outcast by Jonas so I want his eyes to show his feelings of how he feels. I am looking for someone who can express his feeling of sadness through his face for this one because a face says a thousand words with this particular character.

Henry - Blonde white skin between 10-12 years old. He is the owner of the ball that got ousted from the game like Jonas for being a tyrant on the basketball court. He is a smart looking character with bright blue eyes.

Extras - Four more boys are needed to fill the basketball court as extras and play a game with them. These are non speaking roles but they are still for actors and still require commitment. These boys can be of any race however a mix will be selected during the audition process depending on which boys audition the best.
