Heads up mmmovielovers! Swing on over to FTI on October 8th and you'll get to see not *ONE*, but **TWO** acclaimed short films from Curtin University's FTV graduates: "The Road to the Sandmen" and "Chasing Rabbits" -- ***PLUS*** the premiere of "Harry Pene and the Wizards of Keen", ALL for only...

...****$15!**** (There are not enough asterisks in the **WORLD** to emphasize this kind of value!)

That's October 8th, screening begins at 7:30pm with nibbles and drinks provided beforehand.

"The Road To The Sandmen" (2010) follows three nominees for the Golden Sandmen award, a prestigious accolade bestowed annually upon the world's finest dreamer. Welcome to a future where personal dream recording and sharing has become affordable and immensely popular, all thanks to Drew Giggs, inventor of the 'Reverie-corder', founder of 'SnoozCorp' and one of the world's hippest new billionaires. Thanks to him Bruno the slavic nightmare specialist, Julia the child-star and James the ex-filmmaker all have their once-in-a-lifetime chance at world stardom. (Written & Directed by Josh Magee, Producer: Amanda Clarke, D.O.P.: Rohan Harnett, Editor: Sam Trowbridge, Production Design: Kim Davis, Sound: Adrienne Powell)

"Chasing Rabbits" (2009) is an established short drama about about a young man, Jack, dealing with the death of his girlfriend, Jess. In 2010, it was nominated for 3 WA Screen Awards including best film and best actor (winning the best actor). That same year, Chasing Rabbits picked up a nomination at the ATOM Awards for best tertiary film where it was screened all over Australia and New Zealand as well as on TV through Aurora. Chasing Rabbits was also shown at Palm Springs International Film Festival (market) to the independent Hollywood-based distribution company, ''Indie Media Entertainment'' where after watching they (Indie Media) immediately signed the film up to a two year distribution deal. As the festival season is coming to a close with is film, this will be more then likely the last major screening of Chasing Rabbits.

    PLUS!!!
''Harry Pene and the Wizards of Keen'' (2011) is a frat boy teen comedy musical about three wizards wanting to score with this hot witch at an awesome party. This screening could possibly be this films first as it embarks on to the film festival circuit.

.....Also the profits made from this screening will be donated to two worthy charity's in honour of our friend and the editor of The Road to the Sandmen, Sam Trowbridge. We have chosen Brain Injury Australia and The Awesome World Foundation.
