The First Film Festival had its debut on Wednesday 7 May and it was a great success.
Graduating students from FTI's Advanced Diploma in Video Production screened their micro documentaries to an enthusiastic audience of over 50 film lovers.
Several other filmmakers took the opportunity to have a debut screening of their film, including Steve McCall's "Battlecat". Of special note was Noah Norton's visually stunning film, "Synesthesia", and Gregg Johnson's "The First Sign of Madness".
It was generally agreed that the First Film Festival should live on and become an annual event, so circle May 2009 in your calendar, dust off your first film, and bring it along next year for a screening.
Thanks to everyone who got into the spirit of the evening, and we hope to see you again next year.
