This week the classic 90's series 'Gladiators' will return to Chanel 7, meanwhile Chanel 9 has announced that they have secored the rights to make a new version of 'Wheel of Fortune' to be headed up by Tim Campbell.

It got me thinking, what shows would you like to return?

Could we make an updated version of 'It's a Knockout'?

The muppets. I would like to know where all the puppets on TV have gone. Greg the Bunny was a valiant effort; unfortunately axed.

But yes, I think that a TV show featuring puppets, namely sock puppets should grace our screens, infact i have a script already prepared.

    :D

I guess the other puppet show of recent time is 'Crank Yankers'. There was murmers that 'The Muppets' may be returning. They had a stab with 'Muppet's Tonight' in the 90's.

Given the popularity of 'The Muppets' and 'Fraggle Rock' on DVD you would think that puppets would be able to leverage that into a comeback.

Mr Squiggle is being displayed at the WA Library at the moment, that's bringing back some great memories.

Due to the high quality of the new 'Battlestar Galactica', I'd be keen for some more 70's/80's sci-fi to be remade - specifically, 'Blake's 7'. This show actually stands up... um, reasonably well 30 years on. Sure, the sets are recycled, the FX are crap, and some of the episodic dilemmas are wrapped up in an obviously contrived way, but the strong characters and resounding theme song (it tipifies the valiant yet hopeless nature of the heroe's quest) really give this series a timeless quality. Bring the characters and music to the 21st century and you'd have the makings of the ultimate sci-fi series.

Anyone who can look past shoddy 80's FX and still see a quality sci-fi should give 'V' another look. I recently watched the original two-part 1983 mini-series again, and it is seriously good tv. Writer/director Kenneth Johnson's audio commentary is brilliant.

I always wish for return of Friends tv show, which is an old 80's sitcom show. I still hooked with it and always want it to be back with a new series. Actually i still not find any other comedy drama as like to friends. All episodes of this show always hilarious and complete package of fun and entertainment. Whenever i feel bored myself and don't find any new episode in other favorite running show, i always go to watch Friends online. As characters of this show always crack me up with their fabulous jokes, romantic and comedy stuffs. That's why, i recall to Friends to came back with new series.

Well I am also a Friends TV show supporter. For me its the best sitcom ever made in the history of Television. Pick any of the Friends episodes and you will fail to point a single dull moment in it. Still people watch its re runs on various TV channels and even on the net.

I'm in eager anticipation of the alleged "Arrested Development" movie. Failing that, I'm sure that the return of the TV show would be met with a cult frenzy (though Michael Cera will never be the same).

For my aussie-centric pick I'm gonna have to go for "The Micallef Programme". Genius.
