PRA Wins Hotshop Award

The People’s Republic of Animation (PRA) has won Creative Magazine Australia's Hotshop Award for Animation.

Creative Hotshop Awards are recognised as one of Australasia’s most distinguished platforms for uncovering and celebrating the region’s best professional creative talent.

The competition rewards agencies, designers, production, and photography studios who are producing unique and effective solutions for their clients.

Adelaide-based PRA is a talented studio comprising a diverse team of writers, artists and directors who produce animation for film, advertising and video games.

They are currently developing animated feature films, and the philosophy ‘we would rather offend some than impress none’ is central to their work.

PRA's animated short The Cat Piano was an Official Selection at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival (watch the trailer).

Narrated by Nick Cave, it is an urban tale of musical cats, 'preyed upon by a shadowy figure intent on performing a twisted feline symphony'.
