The Minisode
Back in June last year we highlighted the rise of the Minisode as old episodes of 'Charlie's Angels' were cut down to five minutes and used as interstitual content on television. It turns out you can put the whole plot of an hour of 1970's TV into 5 minutes of new millenium televison.
Since the British TV show 'Skins' have used minisodes to their advantage by creating additional scenes for each episode that can be seen online or on the series DVD release.
Now US show 'Rescue Me' has kep audiences interested while the show catches up after the recent Writer's Strike by releasing a series of minisodes.
It makes me wonder what shows I would like to see just a little more of during their off season, or maybe scattered into little 5 minute segements throughout the week. It would really well for a sitcom or a mystery.
