January 2009 Archives
The short film Strings
was launched at FTI on Thursday 22nd January. ‘Team Strings‘ pulled
in a full house of culture-lovers keen to see a new West Australian film and
partake of free wine and crackers while listening to the acoustic stylings of
vocalist Prita.
The filmmakers brought their cast and crew up to the front
of the cinema to soak up some of the limelight and for just a moment it looked
like the massive Strings Team might
outnumber the audience. That audience
included Maxine Howell-Price, Martina Breen, Graeme Sward, Anthea Smythe,
Stevie J. Kezic, Wade Savage, Stuart McKenzie, Makk Eenhoorn, Steve Grant,
Wayne Fisseng and Dylan DaSilva
Strings is a hard-hitting drama about a young man who decides to put an end to his nightmare visions of the past. The film’s cast is Alex McArthur, Lorenzo Italiano, and James Hagan. It was written and directed by Mark Alderson, produced by Crystal McCallum and the director of photography was Jake McCallum.
