September 2008 Archives
This year the Deadly Yarns Indigenous short film initiative, has three documentaries and two dramas being produced around Western Australia. This year our projects will take us to Roebourne, Marble Bar, Port Headland, Fitzroy Crossing... and North Beach in Perth!
We have a great range of projects that I am so excited about being a part of. On September 1 & 2 - our Deadly team of Producers and Directors met eachother, had sessions with industry professionals and leanrt about the processes of making a short film - and the expectations of the ABC, ScreenWest and FTI. Irma Woods, DY4 coordinator attachment gave a chat about her previous deadly experiences. Joan Peters talked legals and Kim Lord taught us about the importance of getting the sound right at the location. Kelrick Martin, James Bogle, Zak Hilditch, Janine Boreland and Rob Bygott all imparted their wisdom to us.
It was a great two days - thank you everyone for their input and hard work!!
