Alumni
The FTI Alumni was formed in 2005 and is administered by a committee of seniors with early association with FTI, specifically to develop a focus with FTI on events, training and participation designed to support active ageing and the interests of seniors.
Aims and Objectives:
- To promote community discussion, debate and action around screen content and production initiatives.
- To celebrate and acknowledge past initiatives in screen culture.
- To reinvigorate and focus the interests and experience of the past to support screen culture initiatives into the future with a particular emphasis on intergenerational dialogue.
- To practically engage the community in the selection and screenings of programs in a context where exchange of ideas is actively promoted.
- To celebrate and have some fun.
Over its history, the Film Institute has encouraged many hundreds of people to appreciate the screen arts, many of whom have gone on to make a significant contribution to the industry. Creating an FTI Alumni is a chance to bring them back together to celebrate and support FTI into the future.
The FTI Alumni administers the Seniors on Screen project. For more information go to their website
